If you're wondering why this site looks weird (and it probably does, depending on when you are visiting) it's because I'm experimenting with a lot of different site-building and content management tools, trying to decide which one sucks the least, and learning a bit about them all. Things have come a long way since 2003 when I was building my own site management software (at Five Across, which was acquired by Cisco and became the Eos platform).
